If you are looking for a unique sculpture, or piece for your home, business, or gift, I can help you. Each carving is a work of art, individualized, and not mass-produced. Contact me to discuss your custom carving.
How best to take care of your custom carving
If you are keeping your carving indoors and out of weather, its best to keep the sculpture away from direct heat source and sunlight. I recommend keeping the carving slightly raised so that there is some air flow underneath. I install felt pads or adjustable furniture levelers for this purpose.
If you are keeping your sculpture outside, I recommend keeping it out of direct sunlight for long periods of time--if possible. Long exposure to UV light may cause some fading and cracking. Keep the carving raised above the ground is best. Water and ground moisture will prematurely cause wood to rot and foster an environment for wood boring insects. A little airflow under the carving will help keep moisture to a minimum. Crushed stone, pavers, concrete work best. Seal 2x per year with marine spar varnish.
